Thomas Gottschalk surprises again with his appearance

Gottschalk before his show ends: “I don’t want to be on stage anymore”

Gottschalk told Bild that one problem was that he didn’t get on stage until 11 p.m. – too late for him. “I just didn’t feel like it anymore.” He’s generally fed up. “I don’t want to be on stage anymore.” He actually wanted to quit back in April, he added. “But somehow I let myself be talked into this farewell show on December 6th.”

The experienced television presenter announced his departure from the show in May – shortly before his birthday. This coming Saturday, December 6th, he will host the show “Denn sie wissen nicht, was passiert” (Because They Don’t Know What’s Happening) for the last time on RTL with Barbara Schöneberger (51) and Günther Jauch (69). After that, he wants to withdraw from public life for a while, he recently told the magazine Bunte. “But that doesn’t mean I’ll never say a word again.”
